Vintage Fledermaus Chair by Josef Hoffmann
Vintage Fledermaus chair by Josef Hoffmann This form is widely recognized as a Josef Hoffmann design because it was utilized in his Fledermaus Cabaret late in 1907. The bentwood construction features simple, clean lines and plenty of negative space. Recent scholarship suggest that Gustav Siegel may have designed this chair two years earlier, though because both designers were employed by Jacob & Josef Kohn it is believed that they collaborated on this form. Chair has Frearson screws, was probably manufactured after the mid 1940s, no makers marks or labels Reupholstery recommended ~ available for an additional fee, please inquire
