This painting was done en plein air in Old Mesilla, NM where I began my art career. I did a whole series of rustic gates in and around Mesilla. This was across from the Fountain theater and the area was remodeled. I photographed it to make another painting someday. The rustic architecture is everywhere. I find it a painter's dream. There were so many gates - I will have to do another series. This original has SOLD. This canvas print has a vivid, fade-resistant print that you're bound to fall in love with.
